Online Policies

Thanks for visiting our website here at The Purple Pomegranate. We offer a wide variety of handcrafted work from over 150 artists from throughout the US and Canada. Everything we have at the store in Whitefish, MT is not available online, but we have chosen some of our best sellers for your online enjoyment. If you’ve seen an item at the store and don’t see it here, just give us a call and we’ll be glad to assist you. The items we carry are carefully created by each artist and many pieces are one of a kind. The photos represent the item but variations are a part of the handcrafted process, making each item special. We try to keep the items listed online in stock but sometimes situations arise and an item may be out of stock or back ordered. We will contact you if this type of circumstance occurs.

Forms of Payment: Our online orders are processed through Paypal. You do not have to have a Paypal account to purchase an item as you can use your credit card including Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

Pricing: We work with many different artists and their rates and offerings may occasionally change. Therefore, product availability and prices are subject to change. If any change occurs in connection with your order, we will notify you before processing your order.

Shipping: Items are shipped ground by USPS Flat Rate Priority within the continental US. The cost of shipping is calculated by the size of the items that are being shipped. There are two methods of shipping to choose from including flat rate shipping and tiered flat rate shipping. Flat rate shipping is per item and works best if you are ordering one item at a time. The tiered flat rate shipping is for ordering more than one item at a time and allows for several items to be packed into one box. Delicate or fragile items will be packed in a box inside a larger box filled with packing peanuts. The box size will thus be larger for fragile items to prevent any damage. Insurance on packages will be included in the shipping fee. If you have not received your package in 10 days following e-mail notification of shipment, please call us. We will track the package through the shipping company. If the package is lost, your refund will be made as soon as verification from the shipping company is received. We are not able to process orders online to Hawaii or Alaska. Please call our toll-free number to place an order from Hawaii or Alaska. We do not ship internationally except to Canada. Online ordering is not currently available to Canada. Please call our toll-free number (1-866-406-7227) to place an order from Canada. We ship by US Postal Service to Canada and the recipient is responsible for all duties, taxes and other fees.

Loss/Damage in Shipping:  If your merchandise is damaged during shipment, please notify us immediately. Hold onto the merchandise, container and all packing materials until advised otherwise by us. The damage may need to be inspected by the shipping company. Your refund will be made as soon as verification from the shipping company is received.

Cancellations: If you need to cancel or change your online order, please contact us at purplepomegranate@gmail.com or call our toll-free number (1-866-406-7227) as soon as possible. Changes to your order may be made if the order has not been fully processed. However, we can’t guarantee to cancel or change an order once it has been placed. Please include your order number when contacting us.

Online Return/Exchange Policy: We make every effort to provide you with exceptional handcrafted items and a satisfying shopping experience. Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, variations do occur. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item for refund, exchange or store credit within 15 days of purchase. The item must be in original condition for the refund to be provided. All returns must be authorized in advance by phoning our toll-free number (1-866-406-7227). Shipping on returned items is non-refundable. Return shipping costs are your responsibility.

Telephone Ordering: All of our items can be ordered by calling our toll-free number (1-866-406-7227). We are open daily from 10 am to 6 pm mountain time. If you call outside our normal hours of operation, you may leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.

Ordering Process:  Once your order is placed, we will send an e-mail confirming that your order has been received. Most orders will be filled within 36-48 hours and you will receive an e-mail notifying you that the order is complete and has been shipped. Some orders will be sent directly from the artist and may take up to 3-4 weeks for shipment. These items will be clearly noted in the online description. If items are not available or on back order, you will be notified by e-mail and changes in your order can be made at that time. If the item is not available, a refund will be given promptly.

Gift Wrapping/Packaging: Free gift wrapping is available for most items. Gift wrapping is not available for large, bulky items or items that are shipped directly from the artist. A message for the recipient may also be included. Please include the message in the special notes section during the checkout process.

Special Orders: Please call our toll-free number (1-866-406-7227) for any special orders or specific color requests that are not available online. Many artists are willing to create a special order item specifically per your requests. Special orders require a 50% up front deposit and are not eligible for return or exchange.

Online Security/Privacy: We do not sell or distribute any information collected online for any reason. We use the information obtained for processing your order only. We provide a secure checkout system through PayPal which is well known for providing the highest online security available. Your credit card information is processed through the PayPal site and we do not receive any of that information. Therefore, your credit card transaction is completely secure.

E-Mail Newsletter: Please sign up for our e-mail newsletter if you would like to receive a monthly newsletter with promotions, offers and all the news from us about our featured artists.

Submissions: The Purple Pomegranate is always searching for new work.   Work is accepted on consignment at 60/40 (artist – 60%, gallery – 40%).  We are seeking original designs, high quality, and contemporary handcrafted American work in all media.  We do not accept commercial or imported items. To submit work to The Purple Pomegranate:

E-mail or fill out the contact us form to see if we are accepting work in your media.  If the gallery is interested in your work, then submit photos, a retail price list, a description of your work, and an artist statement.  We will contact you by e-mail if we are interested in carrying your work. Due to the number of submissions that we receive, we are not able to carry all work that is submitted. A rejection of your work does not necessarily mean that we don’t appreciate its value, just that we are not able to carry your work at this time.
